Are you new to ATD Long Island? Are you currently looking to find your way in a human capital/human resources/talent development career? Then this is the event for you! This event is ideal for those in transition or looking to develop their careers in talent development. Our panelists will review best practices and techniques for finding a new job or figuring out what your next job will be.  

 About Michael D'Amico

During a 35 year career with UPS Michael held leadership positions in customer service, operations, sales management and training.  His career took him on assignments in several states and Italy.  After leaving UPS, Michael formed Gemini Performance Solutions and began facilitating training and providing coaching across numerous industries, including transportation, education, manufacturing, financial, government and distribution, as well as not-for-profit organizations. 

Michael’s areas of expertise are individual and team coaching, facilitation, leadership development, change management, talent management, career development, sales strategies, behavioral and motivational interviewing.

Michael holds a BS in Business Management from St. Peter’s College, Jersey City, NJ, and a Certificate in Training from New York University’s (NYU) School of Professional Studies (SPS).  In addition, he completed the Foundations of Coaching course at NYU’s SPS.  Michael is also a member of the Association for Talent Development  (National) and the New York City Chapter (ATDNYC), having served four years on the NYC board in the roles of marketing, membership and operations.

Prior to founding the Grilled Cheese Coaching Co., Trillium gained 15 years of experience in different roles across corporate America and spent the majority of that time as a leader in the HR and Talent Development fields.  Trillium is grateful for having had the opportunity to work with individuals, executives, and teams across different organizational and experience levels and industries. As a certified coaching expert, she is trained in the Core Energy Coaching™ methodology which focuses on the root (or “core”) of a challenge and shifts the underlying energy that feeds our thoughts, emotions, words, actions and, ultimately, life experience.  Trillium understands what it takes to enhance self-awareness and further develop strengths, while helping to increase effectiveness in ways that positively impact employee engagement metrics, and ultimately an organization’s financial success.

Trillium also dedicates her time to furthering the coaching and HR practices as a board member on her local ICF (International Coaching Federation) chapter, and an adjunct professor for the MS Human Resource Management program at SUNY Stony Brook.

Trillium believes that as humans, we never stop growing, and is a dedicated learner herself as evidenced by a BS in Business Administration, MS in Human Resource Management, certifications in MBTI, NBI, DiSC, Hogan, Energy Leadership Index (ELI) Master Practitioner, Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and International Coach Federation (ICF) Credentialed Associate Certified Coach (ACC).


About Gary O'Connor

Gary’s industry experience has included talent/career management consulting, healthcare, hospitality, education and working with multi-state organizations. His record of achievement is broad-based, stressing financial management, problem solving, dispute resolution, and proactive leadership.

As the Managing Partner for the Metro NY office of Your Part-Time HR Manager, LLC,  a national human resources consulting group, Gary is responsible for the design and implementation of sound human resources strategies and practices to clients. Gary holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Education/Community Mental Health and advanced certification in Educational Leadership/Administration and Business from Long Island University.

Additionally, Gary is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Board Certified Executive Coach and holds the certification designations as a Senior Professional in Human Resources and Society for Human Resources Management - Senior Certified Professional in Human Resources. Gary also runs the Careers in Transition Human Resources Special Interest Group in Long Island
