Join us for our learning leaders in Long Island panel. What are the future trends of learning and development on Long Island? What does the future hold for the workforce on Long Island?  Discuss these trends with our talented panelists. 


Barbara Fisenne is the Executive Director, Organizational Development and Training at Henry Schein. Barbara received her MBA in Human Resources from Long Island University, and she is certified and experienced is a wide variety of learning and talent development tools. Barbara is responsible for the design and facilitation of Henry Schein’s global succession planning strategy and leadership development initiatives, and she enjoys the strategic, analytic, and collaborative challenges of her current position. Prior to joining Henry Schein in 2015, she held various senior HR positions at Estee Lauder.

Dawn-Marie Nolan has more than 20 years of management experience across all aspects of strategic, management, operational and fundraising areas. She earned her MBA in Marketing with distinction from New York University, Stern School of Business and is currently the Director, Center for Workforce Development at Nassau Community College.  Dawn has expertise in development, implementation, evaluation and improvement of educational and workforce development programs and operations and as a Task Group Member of the Partnership for Afterschool Education (PASE) she co-authored Afterschool Youth Outcome Inventory article.

Lisa Privett-Wood has spent her career in the hospitality industry, primarily in Learning and Human Resources, including previous hotel-based posts as Director of Human Resources and currently as a Learning partner for Hilton. She is responsible for the strategic design, architecture, development and procurement of training content for much of Hilton’s global operations.

 Lisa describes herself as a facilitator – of people, processes and projects. She thrives in a community environment and enjoys a diversity of work and the ability to interface with multiple areas and levels of the organization.

 Lisa is an ATD Long Island Board member and Past President, and is also active on SHRM Long Island’s Workforce Readiness Committee. She enjoys traveling and sings with an area choral society. 

 Lisa earned a BS in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University, and resides on eastern Long Island, New York.
