It can be difficult to remain calm and stay focused during this time of uncertainty. It is normal to experience anxiety and fear as the situation continues to escalate. I have returned to practicing meditation to help me deal with these feelings. Following your breath and focusing inward helps to mitigate stress. (Try the free app Insight Timer or Calm.) Exercise, eat well and avoid excessive use of alcohol. Use a gratitude journal. Focus on what you can do and follow the precautions that are being prescribed by the experts who are studying the situation to protect your health and your loved ones. Look out for those near you who may be alone or at high risk. Together we will get through this by supporting each other as a community and be stronger for it.
